Emphasizing his six-decade-long connection to Yeongdo, Park remarked, “Yeongdo isn’t just my hometown; it’s the foundation where my parents lived and my children grew up. It’s my mission to protect it until the very end.”

Park also highlighted his service in the UDT (Naval Special Warfare Group) during his youth. “My military service taught me that nothing is impossible, and once you start something, you must see it through to completion,” he asserted.

Park revealed his long-standing political alignment with President Lee Jae-myung, citing administrative successes in Seongnam and Gyeonggi Province. “I’ve witnessed firsthand how an administrator’s decisions and actions can swiftly improve citizens’ lives,” he noted. Park pledged to implement field-oriented and results-driven administration in Yeongdo to bring about tangible changes for residents.

Addressing local issues, Park stated, “Young people are leaving Yeongdo in search of jobs, vacant houses are proliferating, and dark alleyways at night are increasing residents’ concerns.” He emphasized, “Politics must prove itself through results, not just rhetoric.”

Park’s key campaign promises include: ▲ Developing a marine tourism special zone in Yeongdo ▲ Repurposing vacant houses into youth housing, student dormitories, and artists’ creative spaces ▲ Creating a flagship beach and marine tourism attractions leveraging Yeongdo’s coastal resources. He asserted, “Job creation isn’t just a slogan; it’s about building sustainable structures. I will make Yeongdo a place where businesses thrive and young people choose to stay.”

In conclusion, Park highlighted his experience in urban planning, construction, and urban safety from his tenure in the Busan City Council. He emphasized his readiness for the role, stating, “I am a well-prepared candidate who understands budget structures and administrative procedures.” Park concluded, “The district mayor’s role isn’t to sit behind a desk issuing orders, but to actively engage with residents in the community.”
