Setter, the chic casual fashion brand under Recipe Group, is making waves in the fashion world. Since its 2021 debut, this rising star has been on a meteoric ascent, quickly establishing itself as a global fashion powerhouse.

Setter’s success story is nothing short of impressive. The brand reported a staggering 83% surge in annual sales last year, raking in a cool 110 billion KRW (approximately 82.5 million USD). Riding on its domestic popularity, Setter has caught the eye of international tourists and is killing it in overseas markets.

With 43 stores already dotting the Korean landscape, Setter isn’t slowing down. The brand has big plans for 2025, including opening 20 new locations. One of these hotspots? A store in Seoul’s iconic Gwangjang Market. Talk about aggressive expansion!

Setter’s strategy? Go big on brick-and-mortar. After proving their offline store concept with company-owned outlets and distributors, they’ve been on a store-opening spree since last year. This bold move paid off big time, with in-store sales skyrocketing to 71% of total revenue – an 18% jump from the previous year.

The real showstoppers? Setter’s flagship stores in tourist hotspots like Myeongdong and the Dosan area (think Dosan-daero and Dosan Park). These locations saw their sales explode by a jaw-dropping 131% compared to last year.

But Setter isn’t just a homegrown hero. They’re taking the international fashion scene by storm too. February saw the grand opening of their first overseas flagship in Taiwan, followed by a Tokyo Harajuku store in October. Not stopping there, they launched six stores across major Chinese cities like Beijing and Shanghai in November and December. With 55 international locations, Setter now has more stores abroad than at home!

So, what’s Setter’s secret sauce? It’s all about striking that perfect balance between trendy and wearable. Their designs are cool enough to turn heads but versatile enough to work anywhere in the world. Plus, whether you’re shopping in Seoul or Shanghai, you’ll get that signature Setter experience – a vibe that perfectly captures their ‘joy of Saturday’ philosophy.

Setter’s not done yet. This year, they’re set to conquer Japan with new stores in Osaka and Nagoya. Next up? They’re eyeing Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, and Malaysia to cement their status as Asia’s go-to fashion brand. And that’s just the beginning – North America and Europe are on their radar too.

A Setter insider spilled the tea: “We’re not just about fleeting trends. Our goal is to become Korea’s go-to brand that keeps people coming back for more.” They added, “We’re thinking big – beyond just fashion. We’re crafting lifestyle experiences through tailored marketing strategies both at home and abroad.”
