The office prepared welfare gifts valued at 3.5 million KRW (approximately $2,625) with support from the Pohang Probation Office Council, headed by President Kang Yang-hoon. These gifts will be distributed to 70 exemplary probationers.

President Kang remarked, “While this may be a modest contribution, we hope it conveys a message of love and hope to probationers who persevere through challenging circumstances. Our aim is to provide a small boost to help them overcome their difficulties.”

Kim Chang-soo, director of the Pohang Probation Office, expressed his gratitude: “The unwavering support from our council members significantly empowers our probationers in their journey to become responsible citizens.”

The Pohang Probation Office Council continues to engage in a wide range of crime prevention activities throughout the year. These efforts include improving living conditions, offering scholarships, establishing one-on-one mentoring programs for probationers, providing job placement assistance, and enhancing community environments to deter crime.
