Baek Jong-won, CEO of The Born Korea, is mourning the loss of his mother. The passing also marks the loss of actress So Yoo-jin’s mother-in-law.
Lee Kyung-sook, mother to Baek Jong-won and mother-in-law to So Yoo-jin, passed away on February 10 at the age of 86.
The wake will be held at Seoul St. Mary’s Hospital, Room 31, on February 11. The funeral procession is scheduled for February 13 at 8 a.m., with the burial site located in Seogye-yang-ri, Sinyang-myeon, Yesan-gun, Chungcheongnam-do.
In light of this unexpected news, attention has turned to Baek Jong-won’s touching words about his mother from a 2022 YouTube appearance. He had shared, “When I said I wanted to go into business, my grandparents were against it. My mother often faced criticism from my grandmother because of me. I’m grateful to my mother and sorry for the difficulties I caused her.”
Baek Jong-won and So Yoo-jin tied the knot in 2013 and are parents to one son and two daughters.
