Ahead of its domestic opening, the film ranked first in advance ticket sales among titles opening the same week, signaling strong audience interest.
Interest in ‘Samakdo’ has extended beyond Korea to Vietnam, where local distributors are finalizing plans for a theatrical release. Industry insiders say the film’s chilling K-occult sensibility and distinctive world-building are expected to resonate with local audiences when it reaches screens.
