[Sports Today reporter Kim Tae-hyung] Jang Hang-jun, the director of The Man Who Lives with the King, will appear on JTBC’s Newsroom today (March 14).
The interview segment on JTBC’s Newsroom, scheduled to air at 6:20 p.m., will feature Director Jang.
Once celebrated for his quick wit on variety shows, Jang has firmly established himself as a filmmaker. In the interview, he is expected to express gratitude for the audience’s enthusiastic support for The Man Who Lives with the King and to offer a deeper, more thoughtful discussion about the film.

The Man Who Lives with the King is set in 1457 at Cheongnyeongpo and follows a village head who volunteers for exile to revive his town and a young, deposed king sent into exile. The film has surpassed 12 million admissions, posting the highest box-office total among Korean films released in the past two years.
Having become the fourth historical film ever to reach the 10-million milestone and the top-performing Korean release since 2024, The Man Who Lives with the King continues to heat up theaters and is currently playing nationwide.
