[RealFood=Reporter Yook Seong-yeon] Taiwan’s top delivery app, Foodpanda, has released its 2025 delivery-service data report.

According to the Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation (aT)’s Agri-Food Trade Information (KATI), more than 90% of beverage orders in Taiwan selected the “Low Sugar” or “Less Ice” options. Despite the subtropical climate, consumers favor green and oolong teas served at room temperature or with only a little ice rather than overly chilled drinks. The pattern reflects a lifestyle that emphasizes health and balance.

Subscription shopping is also on the rise. Panda Pro membership jumped 25% in 2025, suggesting delivery apps are becoming full-fledged shopping platforms rather than just meal services. Subscribers are using daily discounts to buy everything from boba and specialty treats to fresh produce and household essentials through the app.

Long-distance orders have become routine. The report found that younger consumers place about 50,000 long-distance orders daily for parents back in their hometowns. Adult children are using remote ordering via location settings to help older family members who aren’t comfortable with apps, buying fresh items like enoki mushrooms, chicken breast, kiwifruit, and cabbage as well as various household goods. In effect, Foodpanda is serving as a cross-city caregiving tool.

The share of higher-priced menu items rose sharply year over year. Notable examples include fresh steamed lobster noodle soup, seafood tomato omurice topped with gold leaf, and specialty duck dishes — a clear sign delivery platforms are moving into fine-dining territory.

An aT official recommended targeting Foodpanda’s health category with a “K-Health Tea” concept, noting strong potential demand for sugar-free, zero-calorie options such as kombucha, barley tea, and corn-silk tea.
