Celebrating its 25th anniversary, Seoul Fashion Week kicked off a packed, weeklong schedule on the 1st. The 2026 Spring/Summer (S/S) showcase merges K-fashion’s current momentum with a forward-looking vision—think cutting-edge design, tech-forward surprises, and AI-driven moments that hint at what’s next.

Industry insiders say the city-hosted 2026 S/S Seoul Fashion Week runs from the 1st through the 7th at iconic Seoul locations, including Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP), Deoksugung-gil, and Heungcheonsa.

Andersson Bell kicked off the main program with an opening show on Deoksugung-gil. It was the first solo brand show staged outside DDP in Seoul Fashion Week history. Set against the atmospheric Deoksugung-gil, the collection blended urban cool with Korean aesthetics. International stylists and creatives who’ve collaborated with luxury houses like Bottega Veneta and Gucci helped elevate the presentation.

At DDP, the Oil Tank Culture Park, Heungcheonsa, the Mondrian Hotel, and the DDP Art Hall, organizers presented 17 runway shows and nine presentations by local designers. Labels leaned into theatrical staging to command attention. Rii teamed up with installation artist Hong Su-jin on a sculptural, three-dimensional set. Siian opened with a media performance by underground electronic artist Lee Myung and closed with performances from jazz vocalist Nan Ah-jin and the band Jeonjagongbang.

DDP Design Lab and Seongsu-dong’s EQL flagship hosted a trade exhibition featuring 74 brands, while roughly 20 brand showrooms across Seongsu, Hannam and Gangnam ran buyer tours. Emerging labels such as No Manual, Marhen.J, Stand Oil, Young & Sang and Axlim were out in force. The program also highlighted exhibitions by up-and-coming designers fusing AI with fashion and a fashion-tech show by Hannah Shin—offering a clear peek at the future of tech-meets-style.

The Berlin Showroom, organized by Berlin Fashion Week, also joined the lineup. Making its Seoul Fashion Week debut, it will present 12 promising brands handpicked in Berlin at the MCM showroom in Gangnam on the 2–3 of next month. Expect pieces that marry sustainability, traditional aesthetics and material innovation.

Even the official Seoul Fashion Week promo leaned into AI. The organizers produced the film entirely with artificial intelligence, featuring a 100% AI-generated model wearing K-designers’ looks against Seoul backdrops—historic palaces, the Han River and Namsan Tower at night—drawing widespread attention.
