Seoul Fashion Week is celebrating its 25th anniversary and kicks off a weeklong run starting on the 1st of next month. The 2026 Spring/Summer (S/S) edition will spotlight K-fashion’s now and next, with AI-driven tech and other fresh content woven throughout the program.
City officials say the city-hosted 2026 S/S Seoul Fashion Week will take place Sept. 1–7 at iconic Seoul sites, including Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP), Deoksugung-gil and Heungcheonsa Temple.
Andersson Bell opens the main event with a standalone opening show on Deoksugung-gil — the first solo brand show held outside DDP in Seoul Fashion Week history. Set against the historic Deoksugung-gil backdrop, the label will present a collection that fuses urban edge with Korean aesthetics. Global stylists and artists who’ve worked with houses like Bottega Veneta and Gucci will collaborate to elevate the collection’s polish.
Across venues such as DDP, the Oil Tank Culture Park, Heungcheonsa, the Mondrian Hotel and DDP Art Hall, organizers have lined up 17 runway shows and nine presentations from domestic designers. Expect standout staging and creative direction: Rii will team up with installation artist Hong Su-jin on a three-dimensional set, while Sian kicks off with a media performance by underground electronic artist Lee Myung and closes with jazz vocalist Nan A-jin alongside the band Jeonjagongbang.
A trade-order exhibition featuring 74 brands will run at DDP Design Lab and the Seongsu-dong EQL flagship, while roughly 20 brand showrooms across Seongsu, Hannam and Gangnam will host buyer tours. Emerging names — No Manual, Marhen.J, Stand OiL, Young&Sang and Exlim among them — are scheduled to participate. The program also highlights rising designers blending AI with fashion, plus a fashion-tech showcase by Hannasin, offering a glimpse into the future of tech-meets-style.
The Berlin Showroom, curated by Berlin Fashion Week, makes its Seoul Fashion Week debut. From Sept. 2–3, 12 promising labels handpicked in Berlin will be presented at the MCM showroom in Gangnam, showcasing work that combines sustainability, traditional aesthetics and material innovation.
Even the official promo went high-tech: organizers produced Seoul Fashion Week’s promotional video entirely with AI. A 100% AI-generated model wears K-designer looks against backdrops of Seoul’s palaces, the Han River’s waves and the Namsan Tower night skyline — a sleek nod to how tech and fashion are colliding on the global stage.
