[Sports Today reporter Jeong Ye-won] Choi Min-jeong and Kim Gilli are set to deliver a showstopping mukbang.

On the 15th at 8:50 p.m., JTBC’s variety show Please Take Care of My Refrigerator (hereafter \”Fridge\”) will air a 15-minute cook-off using ingredients pulled from the refrigerators of 2026 Milan–Cortina Winter Olympics gold medalist Choi Min-jeong and fellow athlete Kim Gilli.

In the first round, Park Eun-young and Kim Poong go head-to-head with the challenge titled a dish to help \”Ramborgilli\” land a full Axel — a nod to Kim Gilli as she prepares for the World Championships. Park, pointing out her 4-0 record against Kim Poong, throws a playful barb, saying she can’t understand why anyone would lose to writer Kim Poong. Kim Poong fires back that he’s been on a hot streak and vows to even the score, setting up a tense duel.

Kim Poong then encounters an unexpected hurdle. He unveils a daring concept he describes as a special meal reserved only for national representatives, a bold idea that immediately grabs attention. Fellow chefs react with disbelief at the unlikely pairing and can’t hide their astonishment. Midway through cooking, Kim Poong hits one of the show’s most dramatic crisis moments; his distressed expression quickly turns the studio into chaos. When the hosts finally inspected the finished plate, they even apologized to the two athletes — \”We’re sorry to show you this\” — leaving viewers curious about the dish’s final look.

The second round pairs \”Fridge\” legends Choi Hyun-seok and Sohn Jong-won for short-track icon Choi Min-jeong. The chefs plan a special tribute to honor Choi’s \”Olympic last dance\” as she retires from Olympic competition following the 2026 Milan–Cortina Games. A longtime fan of the show, Choi said she was deeply honored, repeatedly moved and helped lift the mood on set.

The athletes’ reactions are another highlight. During breaks they lingered in the studio, repeatedly exclaiming how incredible the food was and literally cleaning their plates in what amounted to a national-team–level mukbang. Choi in particular praised one dish as a flavor \”worth the 10-year wait,\” prompting speculation over which chef — the culinary equivalent of a medalist — captured the athletes’ taste buds.
