Spring is in the air, and hotels are leaning into the season with cherry-blossom events, picnic experiences and spring-travel promos designed to win over guests. Beyond a basic overnight stay, properties are rolling out seasonal programming, limited-edition packages and special discounts to stake their claim on spring demand.

On the 16th, Walkerhill Hotels & Resorts announced an “All About Cherry Blossoms” festival running April 1–30. Walkerhill is known as one of Seoul’s top cherry-blossom spots, with a roughly 1.5 km (about 0.9 miles) blossom-lined path that stretches from the hotel promenade to Achasan Ecological Park. The hotel plans a full-site spring celebration using guest rooms, restaurants, outdoor walkways and Forest Park to create a layered, immersive experience.

Walkerhill will also bring back its signature wine fair, “A Stroll Above the Clouds,” on weekends from April 11–May 3. This year the event moves to the outdoor picnic area, Forest Park, amplifying the feel of sipping wine under the blossoms. There’s also a stay package tied to the event: the Wine Blossom package is available March 3–May 3.

Walkerhill is pairing those offerings with an eco-friendly push. From April 1–June 30, in cooperation with the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment, it will run a Green Card Eco-Money Accrual Service. Guests paying with the Green Card will earn eco-money points equal to 25% of their spend, capped at 200,000 KRW (roughly $150) per month. The hotel says the program will bolster its green image and support ongoing ESG initiatives.

Shilla Stay introduced a Blooming in Picnic package that pairs restful hotel time with city spring outings. The package leverages the chain’s 16 urban locations to connect guests with nearby spring hotspots—parks, royal palaces and scenic promenades. In Seoul, the Gwanghwamun and Seodaemun properties make visits to Gyeongbokgung and Gyeonghuigung easy; Mapo offers access to Yeouido Hangang Park; Haeundae links to Dalmaji-gil; and Jeju brings you close to Hallasan Arboretum.

The package includes one night’s stay, a limited-season Flora Keyring Bear and a picnic-chair set that contains two foldable, portable chairs. Guests booking consecutive nights receive an additional luggage bag. Shilla Stay will offer the package at all locations through June 30, targeting urban spring-picnic seekers.

Lotte Hotels & Resorts is chasing spring travelers with a members-only time-sale called Flash Deal. Running March 16–20, the promotion lets Lotte Hotel Rewards members book 29 participating domestic and international hotels at discounts up to 45%. Eligible stay dates are March 30–June 30.

Domestic properties taking part include Signiel Seoul and Busan; Lotte Hotel Seoul, World, Jeju, Busan and Ulsan; L7 branches in Myeongdong, Gangnam, Hongdae, Haeundae and Chungjang; as well as City Hotel and others across the chain. International locations include hotels in Guam, Hanoi, Saigon and Yangon. Newly opened L7 Chungjang by Lotte Hotel, which debuted in February, is also included, widening choices for travelers.

Grand Josun Busan teamed up with character brand DinoTang to offer a Chef Quokka & Bobo’s Grand Stay package through June 30. The package includes limited-edition keyring goodies, and Josun Deli will sell a matching keyring set plus a chef-themed quokka limited cake—small, Instagram-ready touches meant to expand guest engagement over the spring season.

Across the hotel industry, brands are broadening spring offerings—from cherry-blossom walks and curated picnics to lodging discounts and green perks—to capture consumers’ attention. As hotels reshape themselves into lifestyle platforms that help guests celebrate the season, expect seasonal marketing to get even more competitive.
