[Sports Today reporter Kim Tae-hyung] Kim Tae-yeon, Lee Soo-yeon and Bin Ye-seo — who emerged as next-generation trot stars on MBN’s “King of Active Singers” Season 3 — will join a nationwide concert tour.
After generating major buzz on the show, the trio will kick off the tour with Seoul concerts on the 28th and 29th before heading to cities across the country. The run is being positioned as a showcase for the overwhelming talent and energy of these teen performers.
Fans are especially eager because the three are expected to present even stronger, more distinct stage personas than they did during the competition.
During the series, Jeon Yoo-jin — the show’s inaugural champion — praised Lee Soo-yeon, saying, “She sings exceptionally well. Her phrasing and dynamic control create a delicate, detailed arc that outshines many established adult singers.” Kim Tae-yeon won acclaim from Jung Soo-ra for her explosive vocal power and stage presence, with Jung saying she is “no longer a baby tiger.”
In the semifinals’ first round, Bin Ye-seo faced Solji and performed “Rainy Yeongdong Bridge.” Her precise control of dynamics and nuanced delivery earned praise from the song’s original artist, Joo Hyun-mi.
Having proven both their potential and their skill on “King of Active Singers” Season 3, the three will share the concert stage with senior active singers, including the show’s third-season champion Hong Ji-yoon. As rising trot stars, they aim to reaffirm their powerful teen appeal.
The nationwide tour for “King of Active Singers” Season 3 begins with the Seoul dates on the 28th and 29th and will visit major cities including Incheon, Cheongju, Ulsan, Changwon, Daegu, Suwon, Wonju and Busan. Regional lineups and any additional stops will be announced through the official ticketing site.
