Cheongju, in South Korea’s North Chungcheong Province, is recruiting vendors for the spring run of the Yukgeori Night Market “Manwon” — a pop-up where signature street eats are sold for 10,000 KRW (approximately $7.50) — taking place from April through June.
The market is open to operators of mobile stalls and food trucks. Applicants must be able to accept card payments and Cheongju Pay, and all food-service staff are required to have and submit health certificates.
Food-truck operators also need to satisfy business registration rules, including approval for any vehicle structural modifications. During the event, vendors are expected to operate at the night market four times a month, specifically on Fridays and Saturdays.
Applications will be accepted by email or in person at the Yukgeori General Market Night Market Project Team office on Cheongnam-ro in Sangdang-gu through the 23rd of this month.
Launched as a pilot last June, the Yukgeori Night Market showcases unique, budget-friendly bites throughout the Yukgeori General Market area — all for the fixed price of 10,000 KRW (approximately $7.50).
