The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education held a two-day training program on March 16–17, 2026, for 50 team leaders and staff who handle assembly affairs at local education support offices.
The sessions aimed to strengthen local education support offices’ capacity to manage assembly-related duties and to reinforce cooperation between the provincial office and those local offices as region-focused legislative activity expands.
Sessions were held on March 16 in the southern region at the 18th-floor lounge of the southern government building, and on March 17 in the northern region at the 4th-floor conference room of the northern government building.
The curriculum was practical and focused on assembly response, covering the Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly’s organization and operations; the provincial education office’s procedures for handling assembly matters; how to prepare requested documents; and the process for responding to National Assembly audits.
The provincial office plans to establish a mobile-based work-sharing platform for ongoing communication and to create a working task force that includes staff from education support offices to jointly develop \”Assembly Work Guidelines.\”
A provincial education office official said the training will allow the office to share its experience and know-how in responding to the assembly, boosting the capacity of local education support offices. The official added that the office will continue to expand cooperative ties with the Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly through field-centered support and collaboration.
