On the 5th, Samsung C&T’s fashion division called shirts and cardigans this summer’s must-haves, highlighting pieces from Sand Sound, 8Seconds, The Aperture, and Beanpole Ladies and offering chic, practical styling ideas.
This season, checks are stealing the spotlight. Checked shirts have shed their \”engineering student\” stereotype and are now center-stage in this year’s trends.
Sand Sound unveiled lightweight shirts in a range of checks — from subtle, muted micro-checks to bold, colorful large checks — and suggested pairing vintage checked shirts with washed denim or cargo shorts for a relaxed, free-spirited look.
Striped shirts and sheer fabrics also feel breezy and are perfect for summer outfits.
8Seconds showed several ways to wear striped shirts: layered over a sleeveless top with Bermuda shorts for the office, or teamed with a sleeveless linen dress for vacation-ready vibes.
Cardigans are also summer staples when made from cool fabrics like cotton and linen. On SSF Shop, searches for \”summer cardigan\” rose about 20% year over year from May 1–31.
The Aperture rolled out an eye-catching accent cardigan this summer. It immediately ranked among the top-clicked new arrivals on SSF Shop, drawing strong interest from women shoppers.
Beanpole Ladies, through its Be My Beanpole line aimed at younger shoppers, introduced a heart-knitted accent cardigan.
