[RealFood = Reporter Yuk Seong-yeon] Teazen (TEAZEN) announced on March 20 that Aesabi Soda will be supplied to GS25 convenience stores nationwide. With summer—the peak season for beverages—on the horizon, the brand is expanding its in-store footprint.

Teazen Aesabi Soda Original is a 500 ml (16.9 fl oz) ready-to-drink PET carbonated beverage. Each bottle contains 5,000 mg (5 g) of Aesabi, a fermented extract made from unripe apples grown in North Gyeongsang Province. The apples go through a three-stage fermentation—alcoholic, acetic, and malolactic—to produce the extract.

The drink has 0 g sugar and zero calories. It also features heat-resistant, fourth-generation postbiotics.

Teazen will phase the roll-out of Aesabi Soda to GS25 stores nationwide through the end of March. The company will also air launch video ads in about 2,700 major stores across the country.

“Our refreshing Aesabi product, which removes the musty note typically associated with vinegar, has become a hit for us,” a Teazen spokesperson said. “By listing it in GS25, we plan to expand our offline distribution so customers can buy it more conveniently and closer to home.”
