CJ OnStyle announced on the 30th that shipments for its Arrives Today service in January–February surged 3.5 times year-over-year. Arrives Today guarantees same-day delivery for orders placed by noon.
Fashion accounted for 70% of the total volume. Shipments of items priced at 700,000 KRW (about $525) and those over 1,000,000 KRW (about $750) rose 8.2-fold and 6.7-fold, respectively.
To meet the spike in demand, CJ OnStyle launched a Same-Day Exchange service in January. When customers request an exchange, the company delivers the replacement and picks up the return on the same day, trimming the average exchange lead time from more than two days to same-day.
Starting next month, CJ OnStyle will roll out Arrives Today to categories like living and beauty. By the third quarter, it plans to extend the order cutoff time for Arrives Today to 3:00 PM.
A CJ OnStyle spokesperson said Arrives Today is “a core advantage that transforms the customer shopping experience.” They added, “We will sharpen our fast-delivery offering for fashion and premium items and continue expanding the service to strengthen our differentiated logistics capabilities.”
