A cast member who generated notable chemistry on the reality dating series opened up in a post‑show interview about why they ultimately didn’t choose each other and how they felt about the outcome.

In a video posted on the YouTube channel “Chonjang Entertainment TV” on the afternoon of the 30th, Youngho and Youngsook — contestants from ENA and SBS Plus’s I Am SOLO Season 30 — appeared to candidly discuss why their pairing fell apart.

At the start of the interview, the two said they had mutually agreed not to continue as a couple and stressed they had no regrets, calling it a deliberate decision made after careful reflection. On the show, their connection surged following the so‑called “cheonggukjang date” — a meal centered on fermented soybean stew — which had raised hopes they might become a couple. But later conflicts revealed differences in their values and marked a turning point in their relationship.

Youngsook recalled that, while her feelings peaked at certain moments, arguments exposed personality mismatches she hadn’t noticed before. She said repetitive exchanges during conversations and not getting the responses she wanted left her feeling hurt; that accumulation of frustration ultimately influenced her decision.

Youngho reflected on his own communication style and acknowledged that his blunt, matter‑of‑fact language may have come across as forceful. He said he realized later that certain phrases could place a burden on the other person and described reassessing how he expresses himself.

The pair met once more after filming, but that meeting confirmed their personality differences rather than sparking romantic attraction.

Ultimately, they agreed to remain comfortable friends. Youngsook emphasized that they fit better as friends than as romantic partners. Closing the interview, she said that seeing marriage as a practical reality has shifted her priorities toward comfort over intensity, while Youngho defined love as a process of mutual consideration and adjustment.
