Gyeongju City announced the 2026 Gyeongju Daereungwon Stone-Wall Path Festival will run three days, April 3–5, along the Daereungwon stone-wall path.

Blending daytime and after-dark programming, the festival is designed as a stay-over experience to boost Gyeongju’s reputation as a city worth lingering in.

With interactive programs for both locals and tourists and partnerships with nearby businesses, organizers hope to drive participation and local spending.

During the day, expect lively street art performances, family-friendly activities, and hands-on eco-conscious workshops.

At night, the cherry-lined path will glow with a “Cherry Blossom Light” installation, offering a different kind of nighttime charm.

There will also be a “Stone-Wall Path Restaurant”—a cozy spot combining food and seating—and a “Stone-Wall Path Market” selling handmade crafts, both aimed at supporting the local economy.

Organizers will offer free photo printing, cherry-blossom photo zones, and postcard- and doll-making workshops to give visitors more interactive options.

The city says it will step up crowd management and emergency medical readiness through pre-event inspections and on-site staffing.

Officials will close traffic between the Hwangnam Bread junction and the Cheomseongdae junction during the festival and provide detour guidance to minimize disruption for visitors.

Acting Mayor Choi Hyuk-jun said, “The Daereungwon Stone-Wall Path Festival has become a signature spring attraction for Gyeongju. We will do our best to prepare a stay-over festival that delights visitors both day and night, encourages longer stays, and energizes the local economy.”
