French high-jewelry maison Boucheron officially opened a new boutique at Lotte Department Store Incheon on April 3. The 165 m² (about 1,776 sq ft) space celebrates Incheon’s layered history and global connections while revealing the maison’s distinctive vision. With this launch, Boucheron is responding to strong interest from Korean shoppers and continuing its strategy of expanding into prime locations.

Boucheron treats its boutiques as more than sales floors. The maison’s core value—“family spirit”—infuses every location, inviting guests to explore the collections in a relaxed, at-home atmosphere. That hospitality shows in meticulous design and carefully considered details. Rather than conventional square tables, advisors and clients meet at round tables to encourage natural, face-to-face conversations and a more open, comfortable vibe. Each new boutique is also finished with specially curated objets that complete the experience.

As with all Boucheron boutiques worldwide, the Lotte Department Store Incheon location draws inspiration from the maison’s iconic 26 Place Vendôme. In 1893 Frédéric Boucheron became one of the first contemporary high-jewelers to open a boutique on Place Vendôme, making that address historically significant. The new facade pairs green-toned metal with mirror prisms, creating shifting reflections like the facets of a gemstone. The design also reinterprets the maison’s grosgrain detail and signature green in a contemporary way to reinforce brand identity.

Step inside and you’ll find Boucheron’s world: Art Deco–inspired architecture paired with a refined color palette. At the entrance, a wall panel clad in straw marquetry wallpaper draws the eye. A circular counter of marble and red-lacquered wood guides smooth movement through the space, while bold carpet and textile pairings give the boutique a lively, modern identity.

The VIP lounge is particularly striking, taking cues from traditional Korean temple aesthetics. Hand-painted panels by Korean artisans capture classic temple colors and motifs while harmonizing with Boucheron’s palette in shades of pink, pale celadon, and subtle tonal shifts. Redwood moldings echo the structural lines of temple architecture, and the interplay of texture, color, and volume creates an immersive atmosphere. The space is further enriched by work from French–British artist Sophie Kitching, whose pieces translate natural phenomena into color, form, and objects.

The bridal room pairs pastel tones with moiré wallpaper that shifts texture with the light, creating an elegant, tactile effect. An alabaster chandelier with Art Deco motifs serves as a signature element overhead. On the sales floor, two tables in contrasting color schemes add depth and brightness while keeping visual balance. Green marble moldings, Art Deco–inspired furniture, and lighting nods to Pierre Chareau reinforce Boucheron’s Parisian concept, and books and objets on the wall library and console tables introduce a warm, “at-home” feeling.

Lotte Department Store Incheon has emerged as a major local luxury hub, and this boutique opening reflects the growing demand for premium jewelry in Korea. Boucheron says it aims to leverage Incheon’s role as an international gateway to improve accessibility and offer Korean clients a richer maison experience—an unmistakably strategic step to strengthen the brand’s position in Korea’s luxury market.

The Boucheron boutique at Lotte Department Store Incheon is located on the 1st floor at 35 Yeonnam-ro, Michuhol-gu, Incheon. Founded in 1858 by Frédéric Boucheron, the French high-jewelry maison was among the first to open a boutique on Place Vendôme. Now in its fourth generation, Boucheron has produced exceptional and original jewelry, high jewelry, and watches, and it operates more than 100 boutiques worldwide. Boucheron is part of the global luxury group Kering.
