On the 27th, the Seoul Metropolitan Government announced that the 2025 F/W Seoul Fashion Week, held from the 5th to the 9th, wrapped up with record-breaking results.

Celebrating its 25th anniversary, this spring Fashion Week beefed up its program by launching the Seoul Fashion Forum, expanding brand presentations and growing the trade show. The event recorded a historic 9.4 billion KRW (approximately $7.05 million) in order consultations.

For the first time, the Seoul Fashion Forum gathered roughly 200 domestic and international fashion professionals — designers, companies and media — to discuss how K-fashion can compete on the global stage.

Speakers at the forum, held under the theme \”Fashion City Seoul: The Potential and Competitiveness of K-Fashion,\” included James Fallon (WWD head of content), Antonio De Matteis (chairman, Kiton Group), Jung Jun-ho (CEO, Lotte Department Store), visual director Ji Eun, Shin Gwang-ho (editor-in-chief, Vogue Korea) and actress Gi Eun-se.

Introduced at last fall’s event, the brand presentations have matured into a more polished program. This season, 12 brands used high-quality video and live performance to communicate their philosophies and visual identities.

The runway lineup featured 22 brands, from rising talents to veteran designers, showcasing styles that ranged from streetwear to haute couture.

Opening the show, HANNAH SHIN collaborated with an AI wearable-robot team to stage a runway inspired by the birth and evolution of the universe. LIE and ULKIN also stood out for their immersive media-art-driven shows.

The city showcased each brand’s signature runway looks as digital editorials across 175 downtown billboards.

The trade show drew 100 overseas buyers from 25 countries, contributing to the 9.4 billion KRW in order consultations (approximately $7.05 million) and marking the event’s largest performance to date.

Organizers expanded showroom tours beyond Seongsu, Hannam and Gangnam to include Bukchon and Hongdae, encouraging buyers to visit the city’s fashion districts and deepening connections with K-fashion brands.

The city said it will support close follow-up consultations between brands and buyers through the end of April to help convert talks into contracts.

Ju Yong-tae, Seoul’s economic chief, said the city will work to help high-potential K-fashion brands use Seoul Fashion Week as a springboard from Korea to the global fashion market.
