Trump’s Threat: Will Iran Open the Hormuz Strait or Face Infrastructure Bombing on April 7?

On April 5 (local time), President Trump posted on the social platform Truth Social: “Tuesday (the 7th) will be power-plant day, bridge day for Iran. Open the damn Strait of Hormuz. If you don’t, you’ll live in hell.”

He warned the actions would unfold on an unprecedented scale and told followers to “watch.”

In the post he used profane language repeatedly and mocked the phrase “praise be to Allah.”

Earlier, Trump said he was willing to negotiate with Iran and postponed planned strikes on power plants and other energy infrastructure by 10 days, extending the deadline to the 6th.

With that reprieve expiring, he signaled a large-scale strike targeting Iran’s critical infrastructure — including power plants and bridges — could occur on the 7th. The threat appears aimed at pressuring Tehran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and clinch a deal.
