Musinsa will acquire B-Media Company, the publisher of the brand-documentary magazine ‘Magazine B’.
Musinsa announced on April 20 that it will acquire all shares of B-Media Company. The two companies plan to expand their business by combining content and commerce. Musinsa said it will leverage Magazine B’s international network and content-production expertise to pursue global growth.

Launched in 2011, Magazine B produces in-depth content centered on individual brands. It has covered names such as Freitag, Patagonia, Muji, Tsutaya and Chanel, and publishes an English edition for overseas distribution.
The magazine has built a global readership through its design and editorial approach and won a Silver Lion at the 2013 Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.
Through this acquisition, Musinsa gains the media capabilities necessary to expand its content-driven business. The company is also considering expanding Magazine B into intellectual property (IP) and licensing businesses.
Magazine B’s editorial direction and operating structure will remain in place after the acquisition. Publisher Jo Sooyong will continue in his role as founder, and the existing management and editorial teams will remain on board.
