Volunteers organized a joint outreach event to support seniors living alone in the shantytown near Buam 1-dong in Busanjin District, Busan.

On the 24th, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Small Sharing 16 Districts & Counties Volunteer Society’s Jin District branch and the Busanjin-gu Volunteer Center’s Buam 1-dong camp visited local shantytowns and households of seniors living alone to deliver essential supplies.

Jin District branch chair Jo Myeong-suk and branch members, together with Buam Camp leader Jung Sook-hee and camp staff, made in-person visits to 30 households. They distributed rice cakes, snacks, topical medical patches, and nutritional supplements while checking on residents’ well-being.

Jin Seung-baek, president of Small Sharing, said, “It’s a small gesture, but sharing it with our members makes it meaningful. We will continue to provide food and daily necessities throughout the community.”
