Fujifilm Electronic Imaging Korea announced April 28 that it will participate in KOBA 2026 and present a lineup of programs focused on the GFX ETERNA 55, its new large-format cinema camera.

The company will build a GFX ETERNA 55 demo area at its booth designed to reflect an actual film-production environment. The space is intended to let visitors assess the camera’s performance within a real production workflow rather than as a mere static display.

In a theater-inspired media zone, footage shot with the GFX ETERNA 55 will be screened in 4K using the new FP-ZUH12000 projector, capable of up to 12,000 lumens, to highlight the large format’s distinctive depth and immersive image quality. A variety of giveaways for booth visitors will also be available to enhance the attendee experience.

On May 13, Fujifilm will host a cinema talk centered on the GFX ETERNA 55, which embodies the company’s philosophy of carrying film-era principles into the digital age. The program will run two sessions, morning and afternoon, and Makoto Oishi, Fujifilm’s head of product planning who led development of the GFX series and its broadcast and cinema lenses, will discuss the product’s philosophy and design process.

Cinematographers Yoon Byung-seon, Choi Yong-jin and Han Sang-gil, all active in the field, will join as panelists to share on-set experiences and insights and to engage in in-depth discussions about technical features and real-world application.

Each talk-show session will accommodate 100 attendees, for a total of 200. Applications are open through May 6 on Fujifilm’s official website and are limited to industry professionals — directors and cinematographers working in film, television, broadcasting, commercials and music videos — as well as film students and video producers.

On May 14, the KOBA 2026 Creator Hub seminar will explore the theme “Large-Format Cameras in Cinema Production,” presenting current trends and technological developments in video production. The session will focus on practical insights into using Fujifilm’s large-format sensors and case studies of their application in production environments.

“We are honored to present at KOBA 2026 the color-reproduction expertise and optical-design capabilities we have refined over many years in film production,” said Lim Hoon, president of Fujifilm Korea. “As the media landscape evolves rapidly, we will continue engaging with creators to help them achieve greater expressive range and more efficient production workflows.”
