Yongin Special City announced on April 28 that it will hold a Children’s Day Grand Festival at the city hall outdoor plaza on May 2, starting at 10 a.m.

The event is designed for children and their families and will feature live performances, hands-on activities, safety education and a dedicated food area.

Organized by the Yongin City Daycare Association, the program opens with a K-pop dance performance for kids and will include the family musical “Cloud Bread,” a performance by the Yongin Little Lions, the Ground Operations Command military band and an honor guard routine.

Throughout the site, the city will run activity booths offering horseback riding, a topiary grass-doll workshop, traditional instrument demonstrations, police motorcycle experiences, ball‑kicking games and art therapy counseling.

Officials will also set up three campaign booths, including a child mental-health campaign and a Yongin tourism booth.

In partnership with the Yongin Eastern Police Station, Yongin Fire Station, Yongin Western Fire Station and the Samsung Fire & Mobility Museum, the city will present VR safety demonstrations, CPR and fire-safety training, and traffic-safety education.

The sports zone will feature a mini amusement area, a climbing wall and coding-robot demonstrations. 15 food trucks will circle the venue, offering a wide range of food options.
