Ryu Won-jung’s Epic Solo Concert ‘Chulsa’: A Deep Dive into Her Journey and New Album

[EPN Enpinow reporter Go Nari] On the 25th, Ryu Won-jeong drew a near-capacity crowd of about 1,000 to her solo concert “Chulse” (roughly “Success”) at the Ticketlink 1975 Theater in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul.

She offered candid reflections shaped by years on stage and expressed deep gratitude to her fans. The packed house responded warmly to a set of specially prepared performances, making for a memorable evening.

Ryu said, “This album came after a difficult process, so I feel a deep affection for every song.” She added that she personally wrote, composed and produced her first full-length album, “Chulse.” For the title track, which incorporates new musical approaches, she amplified the stage performance to convey change and risk-taking.

Early in the show, she performed signature songs such as “Cry, Heat Wave,” “That River Knows” and “Sunflower,” followed by several new tracks from the album.

In the middle and later segments, announcer Kim Dong-gun served as the program’s commentator, and special guest Byul Sarang boosted the evening’s energy. Fans also took part in a “Chulse” dance challenge, filling the venue with excitement.

Onstage, Ryu spoke openly about her feelings and the struggles she’s faced as a singer, saying, “To me, success is this very moment—being able to sing in front of the fans who love me.”

Rather than relying on appearances in competition shows, she filled a large venue on the strength of her name alone, cementing her status as a solo artist. The successful album release and major concert have raised expectations for her next steps.
