SEVENTEEN’s The8 is further staking his claim as a solo artist, releasing self-penned music at a breakneck pace.
On April 30, Pledis Entertainment announced that The8 will release his self-composed single 不见了 (Love Is Gone) on May 1.

This new track arrives just one month after his early-April bedroom-pop single, 四月的漂流 (April Drift).
The song channels the ache of a bittersweet breakup through the raw, exaggerated textures of hyperpop. Built on fragmented electronic production and unvarnished vocals, it traces the internal fractures that follow the loss of a loved one. The8 led both the lyrics and composition, making his musical philosophy plainly evident.
Most notably, he pivoted to a markedly different genre within a month — a move that underscores the expanding range of his creative palette. Despite the quick turnaround, he delivered a polished stylistic shift that has heightened fans’ expectations.
Beyond SEVENTEEN’s full-group and unit activities, this release marks a deliberate step in carving out his own artistic identity.
Alongside the release, The8 will perform May 1–2 at the large MIDOU Music Festival in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, China, continuing his solo promotions.
Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN will hold fan meetings at Tokyo Dome on May 13–14 and at Kyocera Dome Osaka on May 23–24. The group will also stage the 2026 SVT FAN MEETING at Incheon Asiad Main Stadium on June 20–21, where they will reconnect with fans at home and abroad.
