Nothing Barrel, the inner-beauty brand from The Future, announced on May 9 that it’s teaming up with Pokémon to host playful pop-up zones and tasting events across Seoul’s Hongdae and Seongsu neighborhoods for the month of May.
The collaboration gives shoppers a chance to see and try Pokémon-themed products in person. Events will take place at Trendpot by Olive Young in Hongdae and Olive Young N Seongsu in Seongsu-dong.
At Trendpot by Olive Young in Hongdae, a Pokémon pop-up will run daily through May 30. The space spotlights the Luvtee Pokémon Edition with product displays and brand content. Hours are daily from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.
At Olive Young N Seongsu, tastings will be held on the third-floor food pop-up from May 17–31. Hours are weekdays from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., and weekends from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Nothing Barrel says the collaboration aims to broaden its offline presence and keep pushing experiential, character-led marketing. Lately, food, beverage, and beauty brands have been pairing character tie-ins with in-person experiences to boost product exposure and engagement.
Choi Hee-jae, CEO of Nothing Barrel, said the Pokémon project was prepared so customers could experience the brand in a more enjoyable and approachable way, and added that the company will continue promoting a healthy everyday lifestyle through diverse content and collaborations.
