Translation result.LX Pantos announced on May 20 that it has joined the United Nations Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) to foster a diverse corporate culture grounded in gender equality and women’s empowerment. Launched jointly by the UN Global Compact (UNGC) and UN Women, the WEPs seek to advance gender equality and strengthen women’s rights. Approximately 12,000 companies worldwide—including roughly 100 in South Korea—have signed on.The WEPs set out seven core principles designed to enhance transparency and accountability:1) Establish high-level leadership commitment to gender equality. 2) Eliminate discrimination against women in the workplace, respect human rights, and ensure equal opportunities. 3) Guarantee the health, safety, and welfare of all employees. 4) Promote women’s development through education and training. 5) Integrate women’s empowerment into corporate development, supply chains, and marketing strategies. 6) Coordinate community initiatives and policies to advance gender equality. 7) Measure and publicly report progress toward achieving gender equality.LX Pantos joined the UN Global Compact in 2023 and has developed a sustainability management system aligned with global standards. The company said it will use its WEPs membership to reinforce its position as a leader in gender equality and to further cultivate an inclusive, fair workplace.“A healthy organizational culture rooted in diversity and inclusion is a crucial foundation for corporate competitiveness,” LX Pantos CEO Lee Yong-ho said. “We will pursue sustainable growth based on mutual respect and trust among our employees.”
