The Paradise Cultural Foundation will present the ‘Asian Pop Festival 2026’ at Paradise City on Yeongjong Island from May 30–31. Organizers moved the event about a month earlier than its usual late-June date to avoid the monsoon season. Home to South Korea’s largest integrated-resort cluster, Yeongjong has been shedding its airport-city image as major concerts and festivals turn it into a hub for music and stay-over tourism.

This year’s lineup emphasizes a curated sweep of contemporary Asian pop. Taeko Onuki, a key figure in Japanese city pop and a former member of Sugar Babe, will make her first visit to Korea after more than five decades in music. The Kim Chang-wan Band will follow the release of their new single, “Seventy,” and Noisegarden will mark the 30th anniversary of their debut album. Artists from across Asia—Quruli, Hakushi Hasegawa, Lidoor, Yonlapa, and Someshit—are also scheduled to perform.

Shows will take place across several venues, including Paradise City Culture Park, Chroma, Rubic, and Studio Paradise. Visitors can picnic on the lawn, move between indoor and outdoor stages, and catch performances throughout the resort. The on-site spa, Cimer, will extend late-night hours during the festival and is offering advance, discounted reservations for two-day ticket holders. An indoor plaza will offer a 10% discount on food and beverage purchases.

For the summer season, Paradise City is rolling out family-friendly offerings—premium shaved ice, character photo sessions, and magic shows. At Lounge Paradise, three seasonal shaved-ice varieties—Jeju apple mango, matcha with sweet red beans, and tomato—will be available through Sept. 6. The menu is designed as a seasonal lounge experience for both hotel guests and day visitors.

The indoor theme park Wonder Box will host “Princess Catch! TiniPing” photo sessions and the magic show “Phantom of Wonder.” Photo sessions run through July 31; the magic show runs through June 3. Magician Hyun-joon Kim, who has performed with the global brand The Illusionists, will lead an audience-participation performance that blends close-up magic with fire effects.

Wonder Box has deployed new-season lead characters from SAMG Entertainment’s IP “Catch! TiniPing” throughout the park. Visitors can stop at photo spots to take pictures with the characters and enjoy both live shows and theme-park attractions. By combining shaved ice, character experiences, and magic performances, Paradise City has strengthened its day-trip offerings for families this summer.
