Translation resultBTS painted Las Vegas red as they launched the large-scale downtown initiative Global The City 2.0. The group kicked off the citywide campaign BTS THE CITY ARIRANG – LAS VEGAS on the 20th, ahead of shows slated for the 23rd–24th and 27th–28th (local time). After bathing cities in purple during 2022, BTS turned Las Vegas into a festival playground using the red that represents their new album, ARIRANG. The Sphere — the world’s largest spherical performance venue — drew particular attention for its nighttime production. On show nights, the Sphere’s exterior displayed silhouettes of the band paired with visuals inspired by traditional Korean aesthetics, punctuated by phrases such as “What Is Your Love Song?” and “What Is Your Arirang?”The Las Vegas Strip lit up in red, too. Landmarks from the High Roller to the Eiffel Tower observation deck glowed crimson, and digital billboards across the city ran welcome messages for the group. Even the monorail was wrapped to match the album’s concept, catching fans’ eyes as it ran through downtown.Interactive events spread throughout the city. Major resorts staged fireworks synchronized to tracks like “NORMAL” and “Hooligan,” and a media-art exhibition offered immersive visuals and music tied to the new songs. Visitors moved freely through the installations, experiencing BTS’s musical world in layered, sensory ways.Critics and observers called the effort a major campaign that blends urban infrastructure with performance, exhibition and tourism programming. Red illumination displays, after-parties and a gourmet-tour series tied to the shows are scheduled to continue into early next month. All four dates of BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’ IN LAS VEGAS sold out. More than 60,000 fans filled Allegiant Stadium for the opening night, and global DJ Steve Aoki made a surprise appearance that amplified the energy. BTS expressed gratitude to their audience, saying, “We left here with regrets four years ago, so it means a lot to meet fans again.”
