Born from the renovation of a 100-year-old auto assembly plant and showroom, this Modern Industrial House is turning heads with its breathtaking sense of space.

Set in Chicago, the 209 m² (63 pyeong, about 2,250 sq ft) home dazzles with airy rooms, soaring ceilings, and sunlight pouring in through oversized windows—creating a bright, relaxed atmosphere that feels effortlessly chic.

Exposed brick, concrete columns, and a warm mix of wood and steel define the home’s industrial-chic aesthetic. The layout includes a main level with a living room, kitchen, dining area, master bedroom with an en-suite, a powder room, and entry; a mezzanine with a lounge and bathroom; and a loft level topped by a rooftop garden.

The team stripped away previous finishes to reveal the raw concrete ceiling, columns, and brick walls, then introduced finely crafted wood and steel details. The result is a sculptural, multidimensional interior that feels singular to this home.

The living room mixes modern furniture and eye-catching accents to evoke the feel of a curated design showroom—perfect for hosting friends or lounging in style.

The open kitchen is outfitted with crisp white built-in cabinetry and a streamlined sink. The island faces the living area so whoever’s cooking can easily interact with guests—a thoughtful design move that keeps family life connected.

An oversized dining table anchors the space between the kitchen and living room, while dramatic lighting that plays off the high ceilings adds a polished, editorial touch. Styled as a hybrid home café and intimate restaurant, the dining area works for dinner parties, coffee dates, and everything in between.
