Lee Jae Yong, Samsung Electronics’ chairman, turned heads with his so-called “airport fashion” as he returned from a trip to Europe.
He grabbed extra attention by repeating the same style vest he wore while dining solo at a ramen shop in Kyoto, Japan.
When he arrived at Gimpo Airport on the 13th, he was wearing a piece from the Italian label Brunello Cucinelli. The ivory padded vest retails for about 5.6 million KRW (approximately $4,200) and is reportedly sold out.
The brand is known for “quiet luxury”—favoring high-quality materials and understated design over visible logos.
Mark Zuckerberg, founder and CEO of Meta, and the late Steve Jobs, co-founder of Apple, have also been photographed in the label.

Hyundai Motor Group Chairman Chung Eui-sun also drew notice last October when he met Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang and Lee Jae Yong for what’s been dubbed a “gganbu” gathering; he appeared to be wearing a leather vest from the same brand.
Despite a broader slowdown across the luxury sector, Brunello Cucinelli posted €1.41 billion (approximately $1.51 billion) in revenue last year—an 11.5% increase from the previous year (about 2.4163 trillion KRW (approximately $1.81 billion)).
The company expects sales to rise another 10% this year.
