Korean Actress Ki Eun-se Apologizes: How Remodeling Caused Community Disruptions

Actor Ki Eun-se apologized after a home remodel inconvenienced nearby residents.

On the 7th, Ki Eun-se’s agency, Sublime, said that about two weeks earlier, during renovation work at the villa she is set to move into, some residents raised complaints about parking disruptions and cleanliness. The agency said Ki apologized to the residents who voiced concerns, organized a neighborhood cleanup and took swift steps to address vehicle access issues.

The agency added that crews continue to clean the site and surrounding area daily and are paying close attention to maintaining cleanliness. Since the complaints began, Sublime says it has remained in regular contact with nearby residents and worked to prevent further disruption related to the move and the construction. The company says the work is currently proceeding without additional complaints.

Sublime also said the contractor has been communicating consistently with residents and that the team will monitor and manage the area carefully until the project is complete to minimize any further inconvenience.

Earlier, a post that circulated on online communities drew attention. The poster, identified only as \”A\” and saying they spoke for Pyeongchang-dong residents, wrote that the renovation at the building where their parents live has dragged on for months. Construction vehicles have filled the alley so tightly that it is difficult for even one car to pass, they said, adding that debris and dust were everywhere and cleanup was inadequate.

After the controversy, A posted an update saying Ki Eun-se had apologized.

[Below is Sublime’s full statement.]

Hello. This is Sublime.

We are addressing today’s reports concerning Ki Eun-se.

Soon after learning that some residents had complained about parking difficulties and cleanliness during renovation work at the villa she plans to move into about two weeks ago, Ki Eun-se apologized to those residents, completed a neighborhood cleanup and promptly addressed vehicle access issues. She also continues to clean the site and surrounding area daily and remains committed to keeping the area tidy.

Since the complaints began, we have maintained ongoing communication with nearby residents and coordinated to prevent any further inconvenience related to the move and construction. At present, the work continues without additional complaints.

The contractor also maintains steady communication with residents, and we will monitor and manage the area more carefully until the project finishes to ensure no further disruption.

We apologize for the concern this caused and ask for your understanding.

Thank you.

Sincerely, Sublime
