A serene, orderly home draws the eye with its clean, elegant interiors. The renovation of a 31-pyeong apartment (about 1,103 sq ft) in Taiwan reinterprets traditional Japanese house design through a contemporary lens, offering a cozy and comfortable retreat.

In the sunlit living room, the designers combined wood, stone and cement finishes, installed solid hardwood floors and layered in carefully considered lighting. The effect is a warm, composed space that feels both intimate and restrained.

Anchored by a sturdy main wall with a wall-mounted TV, the living room features designer pieces the family selected with care — including Tacchini’s “Reversibel” armchair — producing an elegant, refined sitting area.
