Culinary mogul and TV personality Baek Jong-won mourns the loss of his mother.
On May 10th, Baek’s mother, Mrs. Lee, passed away at the age of 86.
The wake will be held in Room 31 at Seoul St. Mary’s Hospital. The funeral procession is scheduled for May 13th, with the burial to take place in Seogye-yangri, Shin-yang-myeon, Yesan County, Chungcheongnam Province.
Baek had stepped back from his television appearances in May last year amid controversies surrounding his company, The Born Korea. However, recent legal clearances have gradually eased concerns about his public image.
Several pre-recorded shows featuring Baek are now being released. Following the conclusion of MBC’s “Chef in Antarctica” and Netflix’s “The Hungry and the Hairy 2,” tvN’s “Paik’s Spirit 3” is set to premiere today (May 10th).
