Kim Byeong-se has shared insights into his new life in the United States through his YouTube channel, ‘Byeong-se World.’
In a recent video, Kim revealed that his last acting project was the 2018 drama ‘Rich Family’s Son.’ He described that year as a pivotal moment in his life, marked by significant events including the passing of his mother in the U.S. Following the drama’s conclusion, he made the decision to relocate to America.
During his time in the States, Kim met a friend who introduced him to the woman who would become his wife. In a whirlwind romance, he proposed after just 90 days of dating, leading to their marriage.
Recalling their first encounter, Kim shared a touching moment: “When she walked in, I saw a glow in her eyes. It felt almost supernatural, like a fairy or an angel descending. I knew instantly it was destiny.”
Kim explained his decision to settle in the U.S., saying, “After proposing, I realized I could live in either Korea or America. However, my wife’s career took priority, and with my sporadic work schedule and no confirmed projects in Korea, moving to the U.S. made sense.” He added that this transition naturally distanced him from his acting career in Korea. In 2019, after his wife became a U.S. citizen, she sponsored his immigration, and they officially tied the knot.
Reflecting on his current situation, Kim expressed, “While I do miss being active in broadcasting, I don’t feel burdened by it. If an opportunity to work actively presents itself, I’d be incredibly grateful.” He also hinted at future plans, mentioning that he’s participated in a few auditions in the U.S. and is open to opportunities in Korea if they arise.
