Comedian Park Na-rae is set to face her first police interrogation on the 12th, while her former manager, identified as Mr. A, has reportedly returned from the United States to participate in the related investigation.

News1 reported on the 10th that Park is expected to arrive at the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul at approximately 2:30 PM on the 12th.

This marks Park’s first appearance for police questioning as a defendant, sparking widespread interest in her potential stance during the proceedings.

In a related development, Mr. A, the former manager, returned to Korea on the 9th and reportedly complied with a second round of questioning as a defendant. Sources indicate he plans to continue cooperating with the ongoing police investigation, with no immediate plans to leave the country.

The conflict between Park and her former managers, Mr. A and Mr. B, has escalated into mutual lawsuits. Following their resignations, the ex-managers alleged power harassment against Park on December 3rd last year, even applying for a provisional seizure of her real estate assets.

Their accusations against Park include workplace bullying, verbal abuse, inflicting special injury, unauthorized prescription practices, and failure to pay for expenses. They also claim to have endured personal harassment, such as being forced to run errands, clean up after parties, attend drinking sessions, and remain on standby 24/7.

On December 5th, Mr. A and Mr. B filed a formal complaint against Park at the Gangnam Police Station, citing charges of special injury, defamation through false statements, and violations of the Information and Communications Network Act. In response, Park’s legal team countered with a lawsuit against the two former managers on December 6th, alleging attempted extortion. They later added embezzlement charges on the 20th.

Park underwent her first questioning as a complainant in December last year, followed by a six-hour second investigation on January 14th this year. In an unexpected twist, reports of Park attending a makgeolli (Korean rice wine) brewing academy recently captured public attention.

Mr. A, the former manager, was initially questioned as a defendant at the Yongsan Police Station last December. He subsequently left for the United States on the 22nd of that month, only to return to Korea on the 9th of this month after an extended stay abroad.
