Former 2NE1 member Park Bom has once again taken to social media with a post seemingly targeting her former bandmate, Sandara Park.
On May 5th, Park shared a handwritten letter on her social media platform with the caption “To. A letter to the public…#ParkBom”.
This post mirrors content she had previously shared and subsequently deleted on May 3rd.
In her letter, Park addresses past drug-related controversies, stating, “I have attention-deficit disorder and only took prescribed psychotropic medication; it was not illegal drugs.” She then makes a startling claim: “Sandara Park was caught with drugs and framed me as a drug user to cover it up.” This allegation has ignited a firestorm of controversy in the K-pop community.
Although Park Bom deleted the initial post, the drug allegations against Sandara Park gained traction online. In response, Sandara Park issued a firm denial, stating, “I have never used drugs. I hope she gets well,” and proceeded to unfollow Park Bom’s social media account, drawing a clear line between them.
Despite Sandara Park’s rebuttal, Park Bom has doubled down by reposting the same message, fueling further concern among fans and industry insiders.
This isn’t the first time Park Bom has been embroiled in drug-related controversy. In 2010, she was caught bringing Adderall, a psychotropic drug containing amphetamine, into South Korea without proper customs declaration. At the time, prosecutors issued a suspended indictment.
Following 2NE1’s reunion in 2024 and subsequent tour, Park Bom announced a hiatus from activities in August of last year, citing health reasons. Her management stated that medical professionals had advised significant rest due to her unstable condition.
