[Sports Today reporter Im Si-ryeong] Kim Tae-ri is experimenting with a work-life blend on tvN’s ‘After-School Teacher Taeri.’
The March 15 broadcast of the variety series finds the four-teacher lineup finally assembled, with Kim Tae-ri front and center.
Earlier in the run, Kim stepped in as the inaugural drama-club teacher for seven elementary students, bringing evident passion and sincerity to the role. She was awkward and tentative at first, as any new teacher would be, but as time passed and she opened up, she began to grow into the role.
Episode three, in particular, struck an emotional chord. During casting for the school play, one child broke down after not getting the part they wanted. Kim comforted the student, then herself became tearful, unsettled by the possibility that the decision had caused pain.
Kim’s journey with the kids — full of laughter, tears, bumps and doubts — continues in this week’s episode four, which follows her as she seeks a healthier balance between work and life. The installment mixes spirited classroom moments with lighter downtime: an outdoor cookout and a restorative weekend drive are among the highlights.
The arrival of the fourth member — music director Code Kunst — promises to add even more depth and color to the series. To see what mishaps and heartwarming moments unfold in episode four, tune in to tvN at 7:40 p.m. on March 15.
