[Sports Today reporter Kim Tae-hyung] A tense moment was captured just before Kian84 met his idol, horror-manga maestro Junji Ito. Fans noticed his nerves and are left wondering whether the encounter will go smoothly.
The March 13 episode of MBC’s I Live Alone follows Kian84 on a trip to Japan to meet the legendary horror-manga artist Junji Ito.
Ahead of the meeting, Kian84 arrives dressed in a suit and tie. Gangnam, who helped arrange the visit, appears in a suit as well, prompting some laughs. Escorted by Gangnam, Kian84 heads to the location where he’ll meet Junji Ito.
Once they arrive at the publisher where the meeting is set to take place, Kian84 grows visibly anxious. He repeatedly practices a list of questions he wrote, then admits, “My mind goes blank,” unsure how to proceed. Despite studying Japanese and rehearsing his questions for the occasion, he worries about carrying on a proper conversation. Gangnam offers to act as his interpreter and rallies behind him.
