[Sports Today reporter Kim Tae-hyung] Park Bo-gum carried a full day on tvN’s variety series Bogum Magical, powered by seemingly inexhaustible stamina.
tvN’s Bogum Magical follows certified barber Park Bo-gum and his close friends Lee Sang-yi and Kwak Dong-yeon as they run a special barbershop in a remote rural village that aims to care for both hair and heart.
In the March 13 episode, Park took charge of a haircut for a regular young customer who had often helped out at the shop. The child wanted a mid-length style, and Park used clippers to execute a refined cut he’d clearly been practicing. He also gave the youngster their first salon treatment, turning it into a memorable experience.
To reward the hardworking juniors, part-timer Bi took on the grill and cooked the meat himself. Watching Bi’s deft work, Park said he wanted to help and quickly set about arranging the ingredients. He even ran off to fetch chairs so everyone could sit comfortably on the porch, moving nonstop like an energizer. He rounded out the day with a rib-focused mukbang (an eating-broadcast segment) that would have whetted viewers’ appetites, completing a joyful day with his colleagues.
On the night before his first day off, Park diligently recorded the day’s log, etching the faces he met and the memories they made into his head and heart. On his day off, he surprised everyone with tireless energy by stepping in for Kwak Dong-yeon as chef and preparing sandwiches from the early morning hours.
The trio known as \”Geom.Dong.Ee\” (Park Bo-gum + Kwak Dong-yeon + Lee Sang-yi) used the break to tackle a hike up Mount Deogyu, where an unexpected gust and a sudden blizzard left them scrambling. Park led the way with a calm ease—humming as he climbed—and kept turning back to check on his older and younger companions. Near the summit he credited Sang-yi and Dong-yeon for getting them that far, and the group even improvised a quick skit on the spot, turning the hardship into laughter.
After their post-hike celebration and return to the lodging, Park showed a gentler side by playing with neighborhood children sledding in the village. When he checked the empty barbershop, he was pleasantly surprised by a visit from guest chef Yoon Nam-no and enjoyed an impromptu feast, savoring a sweet, well-earned day off.
tvN’s Bogum Magical, starring Park Bo-gum, airs Fridays at 8:35 p.m.
