[Sports Today Reporter Kim Tae-hyung] Yoo Jae-suk reveals a surprisingly doting side.
MBC’s Hangout with Yoo airs an episode titled “A Day Chosen by AI” on March 14, centered on making single cast member Kim Gwang-gyu’s day less lonely.
On the episode, the AI selects Yoo Jae-suk, who — over his co-stars’ objections — enthusiastically kicks off the day by outfitting the group in coordinated looks tailored to his taste. By contrast, the episode’s intended focus, Kim Gwang-gyu, is overlooked by the AI, and Yoo, Heo Kyung-hwan and Joo Woo-jae find themselves walking Gwang-gyu’s usual route without him.
During the stroll, Yoo spots a couple in matching outfits and is instantly reminded of his wife, Na Kyung-eun, revealing a tender streak. “When we were newlyweds, Kyung-eun used to ask to wear matching clothes — I should have said yes,” he says. “Now I want to wear matching outfits, but she refuses. I regret it,” he adds, riffing on the couple’s mismatched timing.
He urges Heo and Joo to embrace couple-coordinates while dating, quipping, “There’s a right time for everything,” which draws laughter.
Meanwhile, the trio’s Gwang-gyu-less walk takes an unexpected turn, setting up a moment that leaves viewers curious about what happened.
