[Sports Today reporter Kim Tae-hyung] Comedian Shin Gi-ru’s mother has passed away.
On March 18, a representative from his agency, JDB Entertainment, told Sports Today that Shin’s mother died last night. She was 68.
Shin is currently at the wake, grieving with family and close friends.
The wake has been set up in VIP Room 1 at Shilnakwon Incheon Funeral Hall. The funeral procession is scheduled to leave at 6:30 a.m. on the 20th.
Shin debuted in 2005 on KBS2’s Poksok Club and was selected as a special-recruit comedian in SBS’s ninth class in 2007. In January 2019, he married a non-celebrity woman who is one year his senior.
