[Sports Today reporter Song O-jeong] Yang Sang-guk is set to make a triumphant return to his hometown of Jinyeong alongside the cast of MBC’s variety series Hangout with Yoo?.
The March 21 episode of MBC’s variety series Hangout with Yoo? (directed by Kim Jin-yong, Lee Joo-won, Kim Ki-ho, Ahn Ji-seon and Bang Seong-su; producer Park Eun-jin; writer Noh Min-seon) will feature Yoo Jae-suk, HaHa, Heo Kyung-hwan, Joo Woo-jae and Yang Sang-guk in a segment titled \”Country Boys’ Heyday — War of Money 2 in Gimhae.\”
Released photos show the five men visiting Yang’s hometown of Jinyeong in Gimhae, South Gyeongsang Province. In the town center, friends of Yang hung a banner that read, \”Jinyeong’s pride, Yang Sang-guk — welcome home,\” which immediately drew attention.

Yang waved and shouted, \”Guk’s here!\” as he made his rounds, performing his trademark \”3 steps, 1 greeting\” routine for hometown residents. The cast laughed when they saw how warmly locals embraced him, saying he seemed to be walking on air.
Yang also surprised the crew by enjoying higher name recognition than Yoo Jae-suk within Jinyeong. Joo Woo-jae watched a resident call out for Yang from a car window and marveled that, in this neighborhood, people call \”Sang-guk!\” before they call \”Yoo Jae-suk!\”
For the day, Yang was crowned Jinyeong’s local prince and strode confidently through town. When Yoo Jae-suk spotted the banner overhead, he quipped, \”Did Sang-guk win a gold medal?\” The visit by the five hometown pals, which set Jinyeong abuzz, airs today (the 21st) at 6:25 p.m. KST.
