Earlier, SeeYa had shared an anecdote at a fan meeting about being kicked out of a restaurant because they had no money. They said their former agency hadn’t settled meal bills for three months, and the restaurant refused to serve them.
Lee Bo-ram told Ha Ji-young that when they ran into other celebrities back then, those stars would say, \”You make a lot, so you should buy.\” We weren’t earning much, she recalled, so it felt odd to be called wealthy. \”We thought celebrities only looked good on the surface,\” she admitted. \”We even seriously joked about dressing in a mascot costume to pick up part-time work. All we had at home was cereal and cup noodles.\”
Nam Gyu-ri said that after spending long days doing events, they’d stop at highway rest areas and eat ramen mixed with rice. But when they met fans, people would shout, \”Oh, SeeYa, we love you,\” and sing along to every song. Back at the dorm, they’d lay out newspapers and eat cereal on floors where ants crawled. \”That gap is huge,\” she said. \”Artists need self-respect, but that environment made us fragile.\”
She went on to say that as solo activities increased and schedules diverged, misunderstandings accumulated. Even positive news can sound off when passed around, and negative stories tend to get amplified. She revealed that outsiders tried to sow discord between the members, which fueled rumors of internal conflict.
