[Sports Today reporter Jeong Ye-won] The K-pop unit ChenBaekXi (Chen, Baekhyun and Xiumin) has reportedly sent a certified notice to its agency, and representatives for Cha Ga-won, Big Planet Made Entertainment (BPM), INB100 and One Hundred Label said they plan to pursue damages claims in the 100 billion KRW (about $68,000,000) range.

According to industry sources on the 10th, ChenBaekXi delivered the certified letter to CEO Cha Ga-won late last month, demanding answers about unpaid settlements and other alleged contract breaches and notifying him of contract termination. The agency has not responded to the notice to date.

INB100 was founded by Baekhyun during his split from his former agency. It was incorporated under One Hundred Label in May 2024, and its largest shareholder is CEO Cha Ga-won. In recent weeks, artists affiliated with the company — including The Boyz, VIVIZ, B.O., Imujin and Taemin — have each notified the company of contract terminations.

Cha Ga-won’s camp has pushed back, expressing a commitment to stabilizing the company. Their legal counsel said on the afternoon of the same day that they will respond to what they characterize as illegal and hostile takeover attempts and intend to file a damages suit in the 100 billion KRW (about $68,000,000) range.

They contend that the Nomos side’s alleged breach of contract destroyed the trust between the parties. The representatives said they are holding advance payments as collateral for set-off only until claims for damages and a dispute settlement are resolved.

The agency also accused the opposing side of seeking to seize control of management, alleging it has spread false information and manipulated public opinion to justify a hostile takeover. They said those alleged illegal actions and malicious reporting have damaged the company’s external credibility, worsened its financial standing and caused serious operational disruptions.

They added that seized mobile phones contain abundant evidence that could exonerate CEO Cha Ga-won and expose collusion by the other party. The legal team said it will actively participate in the forensic process to seek a decision not to prosecute.
