[Sports Today reporter Song O-jung] Pastry chef Hwang Ji-o reflected on his victory on ‘Cheonhajeppang.’
On the April 18 broadcast of MBN’s Kim Ju-ha’s Day and Night, the top three contestants from ‘Cheonhajeppang’—Hwang Ji-o, Kim Si-yeop and Yoon Hwa-young—appeared on the program.
Hwang, the show’s champion, said, \”I still can’t quite believe it. I’m so grateful and happy to have worked alongside such wonderful people. I learned a lot, and this experience has given me greater confidence in the path I’m taking.\”
The top prize was 100 million KRW (approximately $75,000), which Hwang said he has not yet received.

Kim Si-yeop, who had been a strong favorite, suffered a late reversal in the second final round. He said the contest was less a source of regret than a powerful experience: \”The competition itself was a huge learning opportunity and very moving. I’m incredibly grateful for it.\”
He added with a laugh that seeing the car awarded to the first-place finisher \”did sting a little,\” which drew laughter from the audience, and then he offered his congratulations to winner Hwang Ji-o.
