Koyote’s Shinji and Moon Won Tie the Knot: What to Know About Their Star-Studded Wedding

Daniel Kim Views

Translation result신지, Koyote member Shinji and singer Moonwon exchanged vows Friday in a ceremony attended by colleagues from the entertainment industry.

On the afternoon of the 2nd, the couple walked down a flower-lined aisle and lit the wedding candles at a venue in Gangnam, Seoul, receiving warm congratulations from guests. The first portion of the ceremony was emceed by Boom and Moon Se-yoon.

Koyote members Kim Jong-min and Baekga — who the couple described as family — offered congratulatory remarks and encouragement for their future together. In a surprise moment they launched into Sung Si-kyung’s “You Were Moving,” prompting Shinji to shed tears at her bandmates’ heartfelt support.

Close friend Ailee performed her song “Heaven” as a congratulatory number, and Baek Ji-young led the guests in celebrating the newlyweds with Sung Si-kyung’s “Two People.”

In their wedding invitation, Shinji and Moonwon wrote, “We want to nurture the love we built facing one another into a greater love that allows us to walk forward together, looking in the same direction. We would be grateful if you would bless our future so we can protect it in the name of love.”

Shinji faced intense public scrutiny and nationwide backlash after announcing her marriage to Moonwon last year.

Controversies surrounding Moonwon, coupled with his remark, “I didn’t know Shinji was this famous,” fueled public concern and opposition. Afterward, Shinji released documents addressing various allegations and asked sincerely for people to “watch over us.”

Weathering that period together appears to have strengthened their bond. The couple recently moved into a home together and accelerated practical preparations for marriage. Their daily life drew additional attention after appearing on KBS2’s variety show “New Product Launch – Pyeonstaurant.”
